Warranty periods

• 10-year anti-rot warranty on all buildings, except:
  • Buildings with a floor area up to 20 m²: 5-year warranty
  • Buildings with wall thickness less than 44 mm: 5-year warranty
• 2-year warranty on windows, doors, and all accessories, unless stated longer by the manufacturer.
• 1-year warranty on all electrical accessories.

Warranty conditions

The warranty will not apply in the following circumstances:

• The foundation used was not solid, level, and built to the precise measurements specified for the model.
• The building was not assembled in accordance with the assembly instructions supplied.
• The product has been modified or altered in any way since delivery.
• An approved cut-end treatment was not applied to any timber immediately after it was cut, drilled, or pierced.
• The product was not coated on both interior and exterior surfaces after assembly, and has not been re-coated annually with an oil-based wood preserver or paint at 80–120 microns coverage.
• After assembly, the building has been in direct contact with plants, trees, or adjacent walls – this allows moisture to penetrate the timber.
• The claim is made by someone other than the original purchaser.
• The roofing felt or covering has been damaged or improperly fitted, allowing moisture to enter.
• The product was not assembled within 2 months of the delivery date.
• The product was not stored in a dry location prior to assembly.
• Door or window hinges were not adjusted as the timber expanded or contracted naturally.
• The building was poorly ventilated – indoor humidity must not exceed 50%.
• Damage was caused by a force majeure event (flood, storm, fire, etc.).

Natural timber movement

Timber is a natural material and will experience some degree of movement, minor warping, cracking, and splitting over time – particularly during periods of severe weather. This is a normal characteristic of timber construction and does not affect the structural integrity of the building. Natural timber movement of this kind is not covered by the warranty.
