Roof Covering
Bitumen Shingles

Our standard roof covering is a 5-layer, 3 mm-thick bitumen roof shingle, available in dark red, green, or black. These shingles are built from a fibreglass mat base coated with a special bitumen mixture on both sides. The bottom layer uses cold-resistant self-adhesive bitumen; the top layer (manufactured using Shinglas technology) is finished with mineral granules that provide both weather protection and a clean, subtle appearance.

Quality
Quality is certified to the international ISO 9001:2008 standard, and our bitumen shingles meet the requirements of European standard EN544. These certifications confirm consistent manufacturing quality across every batch.
Longevity
Once correctly installed, these shingles are fully waterproof and will perform reliably for many years. The materials are resistant to corrosion and rot, making them suitable for the full range of Irish weather conditions – including persistent rainfall, wind, and temperature fluctuation.
Safety and environmental performance
The enhanced bitumen mixture is resistant to open flames and provides better thermal and noise insulation than most alternative roof coverings. The shingles do not contain an electromagnetic circuit and do not absorb atmospheric electrical charges. They are manufactured from environmentally friendly, safe raw materials – lead-free and recyclable.
Easy installation
The flexible bitumen material requires no specialist tools and can be used on any roof style. Shingles are self-adhesive, but nailing is also recommended for additional security (nails not included). See our Shingles Installation Guide for step-by-step instructions.
